You could have seen here images by Bernhard Blume and Anna Blume, but now you can´t anymore,

 

because I was asked by BILDKUNST.DE

to delete the images by

Loretta Lux,
Man Ray,
Valie Export,
August Sander
Lotte Reiniger

and every other artist represented by them or to pay a fee for publishing their images.

 

I am working on this blog for my fun,
and for the enjoyment of people stumbling over my blog.
There is no income generated whatsoever by this site for me.
Most of the images I use here are floating all over the net.

 

I don´t think that I am the source of income losses for the artist,
or anybody else.
Art as part of everyday life,
art easily accessible by everybody without barriers and fees.
Art as part of the free flow of thoughts and
communication.

 

But not in the case of artist represented by Bild-Kunst.

 

 

Anna und Bernhard J.Blume/ “Mobile home.”

I can’t really translate the German title of this series.
It’s actually a game with words as these images are a game with reality.
The German word for living room is “Wohnzimmer”.
Wahnzimmer is a creation by the Blumes: he just shifts an o to an a,
and thus changes the meaning of the word to madness room or room for illusions.

“Immobilie” means realty. Realty you can buy, sell, but it’s absolutely immobile.
Owning realty means safety,
one could come to believe until life and business rules teach you otherwise.

Anna & Bernhard Blume mobilize the immobile. Home turns into mobile home.
That what seemed to be safe and sound becomes insane.

I am seduced to say: to believe in the sanity of mankind is insane.

Here art is a game with words and images.
Here art offers a space to experience madness,
offers a space reflecting our delusions about safety.
