Images by John Gossage
Scrubs, cityscapes, landscapes. John Gossage found a vision a number of photographers is trying to copy without ever succeeding.
Though never loosing ties to reality, his photographs are always on the verge to being abstract.
It is so much fun to look at his little book “Secrets Of Real Estate”. Gossage takes a detail out of his photographs and puts them opposed to its origin. So we learn about the secrets of his vision.
I look at his photographs. Discover the little faintness opposed to it. Try to grasp the little image. Look for its origin. And I start to understand what Gossage is looking for, and how he wants us to read his photographs.
It is so elegant how he achieves what he wants to.
