The Karen People of Myanmar were mistakenly categorized as terrorists, and refused sanctuary in America despite suffering persecution. But, because they are Christian and their case appeals to the current governement, they have been exonerated by the State Departement and are now moving to Massachusetts. They have undergone cultural orientation – learning to use electricity for the first time, locking and unlocking doors, crossing roads and becoming familiar with American social values , including attitudes towards sex.
