The successful combination of separate exposures in one frame, and the image as whole overlaid with beautiful handwriting add up to the exceptional form. The people depicted on these photographs seem to be fallen out of time and they are.

The images leave me alone wondering: the rare and sparse information we get about the subjects of the photographs, they just make me realize that I know nothing about the circumstances these people lived in.

Lacking context I can´t understand what I see, and I am left alone with the beautiful form of the photographs.
